A certificate alone does not demonstrate readiness for every UK operation. Operators should connect formal qualifications with role-specific training, aircraft competence and recent operational practice.
Map competence to each role
Define requirements for remote pilots, observers, payload operators, supervisors and emergency roles under the selected UK route and company procedures.
Record training and assessment
Keep qualification evidence, induction, aircraft conversion, site or mission training, practical assessment and emergency exercises together.
Control recency
Set measurable recency criteria, expiry alerts, refresher triggers and release-to-duty decisions. Do not use the word competent without a traceable record.
